A tag sale got rained out before nine. The signs went to mush at every corner. Somebody carried the jelly jars back inside. This is Camp Puppy Haven, Vermont.
It was Tuesday, July 21st. It was cool and gray in Camp Puppy Haven, rain settling in for the day. We were working the day watch out of Screen Door Detail. My partner's Murph. The boss is Lieutenant Clove. My name's Puppy.
A woman had priced the whole garage to sell. The rain came instead. Her dog thought it was the best kind of day.
