It was Monday, May 25th. It was warm in Camp Puppy Haven, cool in the shade. We were working the day watch out of Treat Recovery. My partner's Murph. The boss is Captain Mabel. My name's Puppy.
A man had turned his back on the grill to wave at a neighbor. When he turned back, a hot dog was gone. Murph hadn't moved. The alibi held.
