A woman has been at the porch rail since breakfast with a carton of eggs. Somebody on Front Porch Forum said they stand on end at the equinox. She is down to nine. This is Camp Puppy Haven, Vermont.
It was Tuesday, September 22nd. It was thirty-nine at dawn and bright by noon in Camp Puppy Haven. We were working the day watch out of Equal Daylight Detail. My partner's Dave. He's new. He brought a well-chewed rawhide bone. The boss is Lieutenant Rue. My name's Puppy.
At eight-oh-five, a woman stood an egg on end for the equinox. It stood for 43 seconds. We didn't tell her it stands on Wednesdays too.
