Today's field note from Sgt. Puppy and the morning watch at Camp Puppy Haven, Vermont.

It was Friday, August 7th. It was clear and climbing toward eighty-seven in Camp Puppy Haven. We were working the morning watch out of Low-Altitude Arrivals. My partner's Dave. He's new. He brought a phone. The boss is Captain Fig. My name's Puppy.
A woman filmed the whole descent. Her dog just watched it. Only one of them will remember what it sounded like.
Sgt. Puppy's Field Notes are published most weekday mornings.
