Today's field note from Sgt. Puppy and the morning watch at Camp Puppy Haven, Vermont.

Camp Puppy Haven, Vermont. The firehouse, the chicken-pie-supper sign still up from May. The creemee stand opened Thursday. The transfer station where what you don't need waits for who does.
It was Friday, June 12th. It was warm in Camp Puppy Haven, bat had gotten into the house last night. We were working the evening watch out of Front Porch Forum Dispatch. My partner's Murph. The boss is Lieutenant Clove. My name's Puppy.
A tire went flat overnight in the lot by the firehouse. By morning it was full again. Nobody owned up to it. We had questions. Murph just wagged.
Sgt. Puppy's Field Notes are published most weekday mornings.
